Assignments:
- Expert 21 book: Tests, Quizzes, and workbook assignments throughout the year.
-Novel Studies: Within the sections of the “E21” books we will be reading novels as a class and studying the different literary elements in them.
- Book reports: You will be responsible for one book report every two months. This will be an assignment to apply what you have learned throughout the school year and read a book on your own. You will turn in a 2-page double spaced report on a book of at least 100 pages. In it, you will describe the setting, plot, author's purpose, theme, summary and if you would recommend this book to others and why or why not.
- Vocabulary Assignment: Every section of the E21 book we will learn different vocabulary words. This will be an EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENT in which you will define, put in your own words, get a picture that best represents your word and the antonym of that word. Be creative with this. I'll provide basic examples in class. Please choose from the list I will provide. The more creative the project is, the more points will be given and added to your overall score. More details about this assignment are to follow.
